I'm going to hug you and kiss you and call you George...

I know that I am a bit behind out here, just recently learning about the Playoff positions for the NHL. As sorry as I am that Edmonton was unable to make the post-season and as bitter as I am that Vancouver was, I feel that I should look towards the positives. The biggest positive...of course...is Shanahan will be coming to Vancouver. Anyone who is left in Vancouver should take this opportunity to everything possible to stalk him down...hit the clubs after the games...check the hotels...do whatever necessary to find him. I figure that with the collaboration of 5 or 6 of you a kidnapping wouldn't be all that difficult. Just store him in one of your closets until I can get home and make him my love slave!

Now for a step back to reality. My hall in Residence has officially become the Noah's Ark of USP. I am now the proud owner of 2 kittens named Darcy and Elizabeth and 2 black puppy dogs named David and Goliath. We found the 2 kittens roaming around the Dining Hall and took them up to our Hall...they are extremely adorable and very well behaved. We bought them a litter box, kitty food and boxes to sleep in. Right now I am sharing custody of them with my friend Warsha (like Warsha, Warsha, Warsha)...originally we were each going to take one, but we cannot bare to break up the family. The puppy dogs are a sadder story. They were born right underneath my room and origianlly there were 3 of them. The mom doesn't seem too healthy, or is just tired of continually reproducing and doesn't really care about them. I went and bought a baby bottle and now I feed them everyday and play with them. They don't actually reside in my room all night (because the kittens live there), but I usually have them out all day. Yesterday one of them died which was all together tragic...we ended up forcing one of the boys to climb under the hall and remove it because I was frightened that the ants would get him. The cute moment of today was when we had the 2 puppies and 2 kittens all drinking from the same bowl of milk...it was muchos adorablos.

So about that whole jaw ache thing. The next morning I woke up and realized it wasn't really my jaw that hurt, but more the entire side of my face...especially my ear. Taking some good advice from my buddy Sam Malone I decided that "sometimes you gotta go where everybody knows your name"...that place is, of course, the medical centre. Sure enough I have a really bad ear infection and only a week after finishing round one of antibiotics I got more. Thankfully these are in the drop form so they are uanble to elicit a full body effect like the last one. It was in all honesty quite a painful few days, but I was able to use my discomfort as an excellent excuse for not attending classes (go Med. note!!!) This is currently biting me in the ass because I have a mid-term tomorrow that I have yet to study for (it's 10:30 pm) and the motivation is still running very thin. Alas I will try and drag my sorry rear back to my room to do at least a little bit of work before tomorrow's 9 am. The kittens provide quite a distraction, so I'm not sure how effective this will all be!

Just a reminder to all sending letters (this isn't a ploy to make anyone feel guilty...it really is just a reminder). Air Mail is the way to go...you can even write Air Mail on the envelope and not worry about getting a sticker!

Miss you all and hope you are doing well finishing your finals, or celebrating the end of finals (whichever is more appropriate)!

planes, trains and automobiles. . . oh. . what a great movie, the best is when they are going the wrong way on the highway. "yeah, how do they know which way we're going!"
